Guangzhou, China trip 2014

Malaysia and China Tour 2014 – Some Amateur Clicks – Part 2

Good Morning China!! Staying all day at Kuala Lumpur and roaming here and there, more specifically – around the Twin Tower, we had started the 2nd part of our journey – going to China. So we took a taxi and went to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA 2). It took around 45 minutes to reach the airport. We boarded an Air Asia flight to Guangzhou, China in the evening and reached around middle of the night. The aircraft was an Airbus 320.

The reason to visit Guangzhou was to attend the ‘China Import and Export Fair‘ at Guangdong province. This fair is also known as ‘Canton Fair‘, held at the largest convention center in the world I guess.

After reaching Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, it really astonished me!! Oh, how big the airport is! It took almost 20 minutes to complete the immigration, luggage collection and custom process. Was real quick!!

We then hired a taxi and went to our pre-booked hotel located in Baiyun City – Hotel Days Inn where we stayed there during our entire China tour. There we got a triple single bed room, it was probably room #537. The room was wide and spacious, and had all modern amenities.

Early morning of the very next day, our transport was ready to take us to the China Import and Export Fair zone. We have had our breakfast an the hotel and got prepared to step in to the bus. It won’t be malapropism to mention here that the hotel authority had arranged lots of buses for their hotel guests to take them to the fair area in the morning (boarding time 8:30am sharp). And they also had the arrangement to bring them back to hotel when the fair closed (after 5pm).
